Every summer the State of Maine plays host to thousands of visitors from near and far.  Most of these visitors are drawn into the state seeking white sand beaches, lighthouses and quaint fishing villages. These areas are scattered up and down the coast and are usually easily found, just follow the line of other "out of state" license plates and you're sure to come upon a coastal attraction.

This site deals with the Other Maine.  The Other Maine doesn't include water parks; nightclubs, high priced restaurants and crowded roads.  The Other Maine is a little bit slower, a lot quieter and much more relaxing.  The Other Maine isn't for everybody.  If you have to have your boom boxes, cell phones and other attachments to 21^st century America you might as well leave this site now because you won't enjoy the Other Maine anyway.  Those who do enjoy peace and quiet and are willing to leave their 21^st century amenities at home will find this site a treasure trove of ideas and recommendations for their next vacation.
